The New Industrial Revolution: Autonomous Systems

Nowadays, computer science concerns mostly developing autonomous systems and artificial intelligence (AI). The machinery revolution has already allowed people to delegate different tasks among various fields. In order to improve the quality of human life, self-driving cars, cloud robotics, autonomous factories, and mining have been invented. One may assume that the next step is fully independent computers, robots, or other systems because machines manage their tasks faster and more reliably than humans. Thus, it is significant to identify which autonomous operation is the most revolutionary and beneficial.

To my mind, the system capable of creating a 3D model of the environment is the most necessary in the modern world and the reason is going to be discussed further. First, although progress is inevitable, some difficulties appear while working on autonomous elements. According to the video by Wallenbergstiftelserna (2017), either calculations and algorithms or an experimental situation in the real world suffer from the inability to reach a decision within a short period. For instance, a delay in one or two seconds may cost an individuals life on the road. Consequently, the solution is a 3D modeling of the streets, crossroads and other locations scope.

Second, a computers camera transforms pixels to meaning not without a fault as well. As stated in the video, the average recognition and understanding error occurs in 20-25% of cases (Wallenbergstiftelserna, 2017). The scientist emphasizes that the best results should have less than 5% errors. Owing to the deep learning technique and to the 3D modeling element, the scientists came up with the solution of the given issue.

The deep learning technique is the foundation of every autonomous element that has the ability to learn from analyzing. Mimicking the brain research is vital not only for vehicles but also useful to health care recognizing a cancerous tumor (Wallenbergstiftelserna, 2017). Therefore, the deep learning system may be considered the most essential and applicable in diverse scientific spheres, especially in ensuring a 3D modeling revolution. Besides, as it will differentiate objects in the surrounding, one should note that it is the most outstanding alternative to the Global Positioning System.

In conclusion, it is crucially important to mention that the deep learning method has enabled robots to recognize outward things.
