Why I Want to Be an Officer: Essay
I think that the most important thing to remember in life is that we are not alone. This statement has always had a profound meaning to me and to how I have lived my life thus far. My name is William G Pierce Jr; I was born to William G Pierce Sr and Lenore Iva Atwood on October 6, 1986, in San Bernardino, CA. I was named after my father as that is the tradition in my mothers family to name the first-born son after the father or so it has been told to me that way. My mother left when I was two weeks old, and my father raised me until I was two when he met the woman that I call mom. As the saying goes, family is everything, and I am fortunate to have six siblings, four of whom are my step-siblings. My father stepping up and raising a newborn son by himself has helped to shape the man I am today and to reinforce my belief in that we are not alone in life.
I fell in love with baseball at the tender age of four and found the position of pitcher to accommodate me substantially. It is because of this that I played this sport and became active in it up to the age of twenty. I have also lived in different places, and this has been a good way of getting proper exposure and various life skills. Some of these places include Florida, Minnesota, Tennessee, California, and South Dakota. My academic life has been compelling, and it is because of this that I completed my university education and received my degree in history in the year 2015. I have always been good at keeping time and am highly organized in all aspects. I am also goal-oriented, and I can easily get motivation from anything and anywhere.
Working for different companies and employers has also provided me with different avenues whereby I managed to get various management experiences. These experiences are relevant to this job and will be very instrumental to me as a police officer. I have worked in both public and private restaurants whereby I was tasked with the responsibilities of managing other employees, ordering products, scheduling, and also managing the budgets used by these restaurants. I have also worked in a pharmacy whereby I was the supervisor. My duties as a supervisor included scheduling, issuing medication dosages as well as the process of ordering inventory. I am currently working at Sherwin Williams.
I have always been delighted with providing assistance to people, and this is the main reason why I want to be a police officer. I am also interested in this job because I want to be of service to my nation and its people as I make differences in ways that are most expressive. I have come to accept that two fundamental elements decide achievement. As a matter of first importance is an individuals very own assurance and will to succeed. Is it accurate to say that you are prepared to make penances to accomplish your objective, such as working and learning simultaneously? Is it accurate to say that you are set up to recuperate after disappointment and continue to your objective once more? Without solid interior inspiration, it is almost difficult to get fruitful.
