Delegation and Professional Development for Everyday Leadership

Delegation

It is truly possible to prove ones sufficient level of professionalism and to improve delegation skills in the sphere of nursing, and there are a few certain principles of work to be followed which probably will be correct.

Firstly, according to American Nurses Association, and the National Council of State Boards of Nursing the Delegation (n.d.), delegation skills are regularly developing. It is and practically impossible to achieve high results and acquire the qualities of a leader without continual improving the level of ones knowledge and self-development.

Secondly, to achieve decent results one should not be indifferent and passive. The complexity of all the tasks nurses have to face leads to an increase in the need for junior medical personnel, and following all the instructions gives these people a chance to achieve high work performance.

Finally, constant communication will help to establish contact with colleagues and to not only watch patients but also to organize mutual assistance.

Professional Development for Everyday Leadership

I try to develop myself in a way for the achievement of each goal to be gradual and consistent and at the same time help to understand which new aims should be achieved.

For instance, I would like to devote more time to writing articles and conducting research. It is probably better to distribute ones time correctly to do this and to thoroughly understand this or that topic, having learned a lot of new things.

To steadily develop, I plan to participate in public activities, present my reports and listen to objective criticism. I am sure that learning new materials and a detailed study of topics for performances may help in achieving this goal.

Of course, setting clear goals and objectives helps everyone to become self-disciplined. As Evans (2014) says, understanding the multifaceted possibilities of self-development makes it possible to facilitate the process of professional development, and a detailed thinking over the prospects and ways to achieve success, of course, helps in this.
