Therefore, todays industrial landscape is characterized by the profound influence and use of modern technological solutions. This tendency has acquired its specific name of Industry 4.0, reflecting the scale of transformation that can be described as the fourth industrial revolution. While the concept itself has become well-established in professional literature and practical experience, its specific elements remain in the state of further elaboration. This dissertation addresses supply chain management as an integral component of Industry 4.0 in its present condition. More specifically, it aims to determine the exact nature of how digital transformation of the operational environment affects supply chain management, as perceived by academic experts and practicing managers of the field.
